Wish I did have more behind the scenes stories on this one. Would love to see a new DVD release with commentary from Walter Hill, Nick Dimitri, and some of the other stuntmen Bronson fought in the film. By the way, the black fighter in the deleted fight scene is actor/stuntman Bob Minor (who curiously enough receives screen credit at the end of the film). He's still around as well.

This is a great film; showed the critics that Bronson could really act. I wonder why Hill didn't do a director's commentary for this like he did for "The Warriors" dvd. Why are there so few commentaries for his films released on DVD? I know he's dead but so many of the directors are still alive.

Do the fights that were cut and didn't take place in the releasing version exist, or the are lost?

I heard that bronson saw this movie, as one of his most personal. Because he grew up at the time of the great depression.

I've never heard that but it's something that makes sense since he lived the most intense moments of his childhood during that period.
It would be very interesting if "1,99$",a project written by Jill and Charlie would have been released. It was about coal-mines, it's a pity it never happened.

This is a terrific drama film. It's one of the best movies Bronson ever did and he certainly gave one of his best performances in this movie as well. Would love to see the deleted scenes, I hear there are two fight scenes that were cut, not jut the one with Bob Minor.

Yes, I'd say this in my favorite, ahead "The Mechanic" and the first "Death Wish" - but I love all three, I must admit...

This is my favorite film . Can anyone shed light on what the phrase "In Betweens" referred too? Chaney hands over money in the end and says " You forgot about the in-betweens " to which Speed replies " You sure filled those" or something like that. Thanks all......
