Thoughts on Death Wish Remake With Bruce Willis

Hello everybody, there is a new remake of Death Wish slated for release in November 2017 with Bruce Willis as the main character. Here's a link to the trailer

Personally I think the remake is a completely different tone than the original Death Wish from 1974. I mean, the trailer uses ACDC rock music, so its definitely going to be less of a serious film compared to the original. Please share your thoughts about the trailer and the film if you see it in theaters when it comes out

Bruce is no match for Bronson and especially at this age.I agree with you that it is a much less serious film compared to the original

I haven't watched it as I haven't watched "The Mechanic" and "The Magnificent 7" remakes. I just can't watch a remake of a Bronson movie. I love Bruce Willis but I just don't feel like watching a Death Wish remake. If there is one actor in cinema history who is unique, inimitable and unrepeatable, it is definitely Bronson.

I went out and actually watched it. If we consider it a stand-alone film, it's a fine action film: the action sequences are pretty good because it doesn't use much shaky-cam (the Mechanic films liberally used shaky-cam making them hard to watch at some points). But as a remake, it doesn't really do the original film justice. It's more similar to Death Wish 3 and 4.
