This was like a wet dream come true for me. Ever since I was a kid, I've loved these man vs. wild movies, where a group of characters are faced against unusually large animal/s or bug/s. My favorite is Jaws, of course, but I enjoy a great deal of them and collect them. I have quite a few. So to have one of my favorite actors appear in one of these movies was really something else to me, especially when it's in a western setting! I enjoyed this movie from beginning to end and do not agree with a lot of other people that say it's bad or even worse. I felt that the pacing was good, it was funny at times (intentionally so), it had some nice shootouts and I really liked the white buffalo look and sound. The atmosphere was at times very eerie, almost scary, I thought that helped the movie a lot. To accompany the eerie atmosphere was John Barry's terrific score, he really did a great job with this one! It reminded me a little bit of his Oscar winning work on Dances with Wolves. I'll never forget the opening scene! Talk about setting the mood for the movie. I think the ending was pretty underwhelming though. It felt a bit rushed and not quite as epic (by 70's standards) as it should have. I thought the showdown would have involved Bronson more than it did. I'd give this a 7 or 8/10 rating with a repeat viewing factor that is very high. I like this movie but unfortunately we are living in a modern world and cant appreciate the special affects back then. You can clearly see the tracks beneath the buffalo in the snow and alot of things look cheap. Speak for yourself, I loved the look of the buffalo! I much prefer these practical effects over today's fake looking CGI.

I really doubt that they cut part 3 at all for the releases on DVD, let alone 36 minutes. I think you can feel safe having them all uncut. I think it's extremely rare for a TV movie to be 120 minutes long. With commercials that would be a long night in front of the TV.

SO Nobody in the fan forum owns a in person obtained or one they're sure is authentic? This isn't a very active forum, unfortunately. Maybe someone with an authentic autograph will sign in one day and help you out. If you've already gotten an example of an in person autograph, feel free to share it with the rest of us.

I thought this movie was decent. I'm not a very big fan of spy thrillers, so that may explain it. My Spanish DVD also has the worst audio I've ever heard for a DVD, I had to crank the volume up 15 bars to comprehend everything that was being said, so that probably took some of the enjoyment out of the experience as well. I felt the last scenes were pretty underwhelming, I was really surprised it ended the way it did, so fast and fairly simple.
I'll probably like it more the next time I watch it.

After years of searching for this on DVD on places like eBay, Amazon, various forums etc, I finally found a copy of this movie on Amazon. I often check out its page on Amazon to see if someone is selling it and got lucky as I saw a seller selling a copy last week. Not only did I find a copy, it was even brand new and SEALED! Keep in mind it's been 14 years since its release, I really got lucky. It arrived yesterday in great condition and I finally got to see it.
I now have all of Bronson's movies from the 90's on DVD (except for The Sea Wolf, which I have on VHS due to lack of a DVD release with English audio) and am only one movie away from having all of his 80's movies. The only one I'm missing from that decade is Act of Vengeance, which as far as I know is only available free from cuts on VHS in the US.
As for the movie itself, I felt it was entertaining and well made, I agree with taffin that it was surprisingly violent for a TV-movie, a welcomed surprise. I'd say it's on par with his Family of Cops trilogy, which I really enjoy and I still don't understand why they get so much crap from fans.

Not a lot of stuff on his work out routines, unfortunately, but plenty of stories from other people, often quoted from books they've written themselves.

Been very big on reading biographies lately. Just finishing up George Carlin's. I've always wanted to read a Bronson bio and I came across the latest to be released "Menacing Face Worth Millions: A Life of Charles Bronson." Has anyone read it by any chance? All the other Bronson books were written in the late 70s, early 80s. This one seems to have everything. I thought I had already created a thread on this book, but it looks like I forgot. Thought I'd written a review and everything. Oh well - get this book! It's the best book on Bronson I've ever read. I can't believe there's not a bigger market for it, it's currently only available as a print-on-demand book for whatever reason. This book deserves much more attention, it's filled with information, even leading up to his death. A lot of the stuff you already know about, and some of it is taken almost straight from magazine articles, but it's a great read nonetheless, very comprehensive. I've read it once but know I'll read it again some day.

It is uncut as far as I know, the oldest you have to be able to see a movie in Scandinavia is 15, not 18.

I wouldn't go that far. Sure, he's old, fit and make action movies, but I don't think their personas, on and off-screen are very similar.

Welcome to the forum, rasagreen! She has a Facebook page to promote her book Charlie & Me, it looks like she's running it. I haven't tried contacting her, but you could always give it a shot. Here's the link: www.facebook.com/harriettbronson
