From what I have read, this along with "Rider On The Rain" are his personal favorites.

I was looking at "Vera Cruz" the other day, and I saw Charlie in this movie. I knew that Burt Lancaster starred in this movie, but had no idea that Charlie was in it, so it made me curious at what the relationship was, between Charlie and Burt, or if there was any communication between the two?

I love these type of threads, because it really shows how times have really changed, in what people perceive as tough today, from what was tough in the past, so who would win? Charlie(Hard Times), or Bruce(Die hard)

If they had fought between (Hard times) and (Star wars), who would win?

I'm surprised he was able to play those tough characters so well, after reading that. I guess it shows how great of an actor he really was.

Does anyone know were that picture is? The only reason I would like too see it is because, people can see how impressive he looked in his later years. I was impressed with his physique in the 50's though the 70's, but more-so in the 80's, because most people don't look to good, once they approach their 50 or 60's. I also want too point out in the 90's, one of the reasons Charlie gained weight is not because of old age, it was his hip that had been giving him problems, and really playing havoc on his workouts, so he opted to get surgery, so he can resume his normal workout routine, and be hard as a rock, again. but unfortunately after the surgery, altimers disease crept up on him, and that was the beginning of the end for Charlie.

Damm! Had know idea that Stallone went too beauty school. I have never heard that, but can see Stallone trying never to bring that up, during interviews.

I haven't heard much about this topic, but still wondering if anyone can elaborate more, on this subject, because I know both guys worked on a number of pictures, and wondering if their are any quotes from either of the actors, about each other. Thanks!
