Charlie had to have one of the greatest walks ever seen on the screen. He had a macho swagger about him, yet moved with speed and grace. John Wayne had that distinctive pigeon-toed strut, but there was no sense of danger with the Duke. Charlie always looked like he was ready to pounce like a panther at the camera or his co-stars. The way he moved contributed greatly to his screen presence and success.

In Jim Brown's Biography, he says that women really loved his walk. Jim always felt it was tight, and controlled, so you didn't feel he was about too trip, and fall.

Yes, he had one of the greatest walks in movie history, along with Henry Fonda's and Lee Marvin's.

I love Henry Fonda's walk(dance of death) in the showdown sequence of "Once Upon A Time In The West".Bronson's short walk is great too in that scene.

What about Robert Mitchum, strutting like a sleepy-eyed bear with baritone voice? I think this topic is very cool

Couldn't agree more, guys. I've always dug the way he walks and am glad other have noticed it as well. It's a walk of complete confidence, like he owns every room he enters, every street he walks on.
