My favorite period in Bronson's career is the "European Period" from "Adieu L'ami" until "Chato's Land" My second favorite period is his "American Glorious Period" from "Chato's land" until "Death Wish II" I also love his "Classics Co-leads period" when he had co-leading roles in "The Magnificent Seven", "The Great Escape" and "The Dirty Dozen".I like the "Cannon Years" but not that much I only like a couple of movies from that period and Bronson doesn't look tough anymore. In 50's he made some interesting performances and by the end of the decade he had his first leading roles. He dis very little stuff in 90's.

I respect his "European period" very much as he made some interesting films but for me, my favorite period had to be his "American Glorious period" as he seemed to be in full confidence and made some good films (DW 2 not being among them, IMHO). The "Classics Co-leads" period was also an excellent time for him as he made the three amazing blockbusters you mention.

Bumping this topic as I think it has way too few replies. I won't contribute at this time, since I have to think this one over for a while.

I appreciate the european period (cold sweat, rider on the rain, violent city, once upon a time in the west), and the 1972-1975 time period.

Canon Years Not so much although a few were good. I am very Partial to 'Violent City' Great film.

and what about the "American Glorious Period"(The Mechanic-Death Hunt)? If you like Violent City, you should check "Revolver"(1973) by the same director, Sergio Sollima...
