It's not a great movie, but Bronson looks great in it. In fact, it's not really HIM, but his biceps that steal the show ! His wardrobe is the same during the whole film : a black t-shirt, to make sure you don't miss the arms. He makes a strange couple with "PERSONA" star Liv Ullmann, but international coproductions have their charm.

I bought this last year and was relatively disappointed with it, but the LONG car chase actually rocked. Very intense.

Especially in the scene where he holds a whiskey bottle his bicep looks huge.

There's not much to this movie and quite dissapointing, the car chase was ok. Mainy scenes pertaining to Bronson's physicality eg: beating the man up in the elevator etc are the best parts of the movie.

The truth is that the script is very bad.Bronson's presence though is very powerful, his body language is unique. The way he walks, the way he grabs the bottle of whiskey, the way he puts the money on Ulman's breasts, The way he closes his eye to the little girl... and especially the way he kicks the asses of the other guys.He gives a great performance and yes the biceps help it.He was the most authentic tough and macho actor ever.

On an OOP Swedish and Australian DVD, one of the special features listed is "Previously unseen footage." Could someone tell me what that footage is? Is the movie longer with that footage included, or is it some other footage of the making of the film that is on the DVD as a special feature? Or was it, at the time of the DVD's being released, new footage of the movie that they were first to include, but have now become the norm when it gets a new release on DVD?
Reason I'm asking is because I'm about to buy a different DVD but there's nothing stating that this previously unseen footage is included on the re-release of the Australian DVD.

It's really surprising how an "uknown" movie like that contains one of the very best car-chase scenes in movie history. It is superbly shot, Terence young did a great job with that...

What a great movie. I watched this 1st 2-3 years ago and fell azzzzzzzz during 1st scene(it`s still bit too extended methinks) and never gave another go for that dvd but sold out. Recently picked dutch release and was totally blown away how fantastic this turned out to be. Bronson looks very physical, those are tiny moments but take a look how agile he runs into upstairs or jumps into car. He was in great shape. Btw, one reason I did not was able to stay awake at 1st screening was I had gone throught long bus trip. Definitely one of my faves and my Bronson collection looks quite nice now, 38 dvds and more are coming:D

For me it's just a mediocre film.I don't know if this is the wright word to describe it.Not bad at all but from Terence Young I have seen better than that.I like the well known pose with the black shirt and Bronson had his arms crossed. Also I like the heated relationship between Liv Ullmann and Charlie.Jill is just ok there.
I agree with harmonica the most monumental thing of the movie is the spectacular and breath taking car chase. It rocks!!!!!
Trivia:Liv Ullmann watch on tv a really good spaghetti western ''Cemetary Without Crosses''.
7/10

I also like this movie, I kind of expected the worst since I read so many negative things about it beforehand. I especially agree with what perkele wrote about Bronson's shape in the movie, he looked incredibly agile and fit, his body language said it all. I can't move like that and I'm in my 20's!
I liked the suspence, the action and that car chase that has been mentioned. The acting wasn't bad, either. An entertaining 90 minutes worth several repeat viewings.

What I like most about Bronson's character in that movie is the fact that, in every single second of his screentime, he gives the impression of being able to kill anybody in a couple of seconds, easily, silently and simply, just by using his body...
