What do others think of this versatile leading man/character actor. Personally, he's one of those that create a pang of sadness in me for the way rugged actors used to be (Ben Johnson is another). The TV series THE WESTERNER he did with Sam Peckinpah is a great series that unfortunately only ran for a handful of episodes. Keith was a real-life former U.S. Marine and could really throw a screen punch when he wanted to. Anybody remember those arms he had in his 60's on the series HARDCASTLE & McCORMICK? He trained for many years at Vince's Gym and was said to be a moody, cantankerous sort (a lot like Bronson), though think he wasn't shy like Charlie. He's great as Teddy Roosevelt in THE WIND AND THE LION too.
