I just watched "Indian Runner". A good movie, but much different than what Charles B. is known for. And his part was short and not so sweet. I would love to know the reason behind him taking the part. I'm inclined to think Sean Penn asked him to do it. He didn't need the money and it was not his last roll. Maybe he was bored, but I think he was asked to do it. Who knows.

It was something different for him, which he had been wanting to do for a long time. I don't think he auditioned for it and was probably asked to play the part by Penn or a producer.

Like many late-career actors, Sean Penn has probably offered a small role to give more to the film!
There also are sea wolf Yes Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus different from the type of film
