1.) Death Wish - 9/10 2.) Death Wish 3 - 7/10 3.) Death Wish 2 - 6/10 4.) Death Wish 5 - 4/10 5.) Death Wish 4 - 2/10
I think the only "serious" film was the first one. The third one seemed to be an out-and-out black comedy - and it's a masterpiece in its own way. DW II is a very strange film indeed that defies logic and makes little sense but is entertaining in a real sleazy way! DW 4 looks like a film made on $7.00 budget and I thought 5 was a little better but Bronson seemed totally uninterested.

In fact, I kind of resent the "DEATH WISH" sequels, because most people remember Bronson only for these pathetic turkeys, and forget the great films he made in the sixties and seventies. But that's life, and nobody forced Bronson to sign, I guess...

What you said holds true especially in U.S.A. In Europe people remember him mostly for his westerns, especially for "Once Upon A Time In The West", and for his European movies.Even though cannon movies ruined his reputation globally.
