Director:J. Lee Thompson Writer(s):Rex Burns, Paul Jarrico Actors:Charles Bronson, Trish Van Devere
Bronson holds a gun in the front cover but he never uses one in the movie."Messenger Of Death" is a movie with little action but interesting story of mystery. The opening sequence is promising, we remember that J.Lee Thompson used to be a good director(Cape Fear,Guns Of Navarone).Bronson plays a reporter who tries to find out who's behind a massacre. If it wasn't a cannon, t.v. looking, cheap, picture and Bronson was a little younger it would be better. It's not dissapointing though.

In fact, Bronson uses one gun in the film, and he shoots an empty coffin. " THE MESSENGER OF DEATH" is no masterpiece, but it's one of the better efforts of Thompson- Bronson, with a good supporting cast.

A surprisingly good murder mystery movie that will have you guessing until the very end. The movie stars Charles Bronson in a different role than the ones he usually plays.
Like harmonica mentions, it feels more like a TV-movie than one produced by Cannon. There's hardly any cheese in it at all, I must say. Just an entertaining thriller that is worth a watch.

Definitely it is worth only a watch.Ok maybe is only me I found it boring. The opening sequence is really promising and a ''pain in the stomach'' but after that I couldn't find something to intrigued me.Slow without some important story twists but the end was good.
I'll give it a second chance but I don't expect something different.
5/10
