Director:Sydney Pollack Writer(s):Tennessee Williams, Francis Ford Coppola, Fred Coe Edith R. Sommer, David Rayfiel Actors:Natalie Wood, Robert Redford, Kate Reid, Charles Bronson
This is not one of Sydney Pollack's best movies.Natalie Wood and Robert Redford star in this movie and Bronson has a supporting but not interesting role.

The first half is OK, but the film is much too long. I read that Bronson felt neglected on this film, Pollack giving all his attention to Natalie Wood. The director admitted later, he never listened Bronson's ideas to make his character more interesting. J.J. Nichols is a stupid supporting role, the kind Bronson had a decade earlier.

I 've never heard Pollack talking about Bronson. What else said/thought about him?

That's it I guess. Pollack didn't pay attention to him at all. And it shows in the film : just one close up. Even Robert Blake has a bigger role.
