I was watching UFC 121 on pay-per-view with friends last night and it made me wonder: what if Bronson fought in the UFC?
I strongly feel that he, in his prime, could borderline kill most of the fighters that are in there today.
Thoughts?

I know we're basing movie fighting against real fighting here, but Charlie sure did bring down Bob Tessier (arguably the biggest, baddest guy of his era) believably enough in HARD TIMES. Charlie was incredibly fast, threw with bad intentions, and gave the impression he knew how to fight for real and end things quickly. He'd be undersized in UFC, but I wouldn't bet against him in a back alley fight against very many people.

Judging from his movies and some backstage stories Charlie had great body skills such us speed, agility, power and srength.Especislly in 50's his body was like a professional boxer's one. However little is known about his actual fighting background.I don't think he had such a figting knowledge and tecnicque to fight a martial arts expert or a top-notch boxer.I don't think his size would have been a big problem.Royce Gracie was about Charlie's weight but he kicked ass.Bronson was an actor .He had the fondamentals to become a great fighter but he chose a different path.If he had took up boxing or martial arts after the war and trained with determination on it he could have been great.
In a back alley fight I don't know how many people he could have beaten up but I really thing he had the guts to fight almost everybody. In that kind of fight he would really have better possibilities

When did Bronson first learn boxing, as a exercise? I just believe he wouldn't have did it just as exercise, but competed.

I believe one of Charlie's older brothers was a boxer and taught him how to box in the style of Jack Dempsey. Think I remember reading that Charlie boxed in the Army, which was pretty common back then as recreation and sport. Some bios say that Charlie may have picked up some actual real bouts perhaps fighting under a psuedonym in the time after he got out of the Army.
