Director:Sean Penn Writer(s):Sean Penn Actors:Vigo Mortensen, David Morse, Patricia Arquette, Valeria Golino, Charles Bronson
This is an interesting, well-acted character study.Even though it has some weak moments.Bronson appears only in the first have of the movie but he has enough scenes in his last intereresting performance.

Charlie gave a great performance in this. Had it been a slightly meatier role, I'm sure his acting would have been award worthy. I wish he had done more of this kind of thing in the 90s.

His last look, alone in the dark, is really chilling. After all these years of terrible films, "old stone face" could still deliver !

You got it right, crego. I love the scene he gives a call to his son to fix something. It was really moving and powerful.

Even Roger Ebert had nice things to say about his performance in this one. Thank you, Sean Penn, for giving an under-appreciated actor a chance to shine.

I had know idea that Sen Penn, and Charlie were such good friends. I really don't think they were. Did you read this somewhere?
