In a Douglas Thompson's article it was said that "he had to steal to live -- he served a short prison term for theft --"... Is that true? It seems a rumor to me.

I think it's an invention. But Bronson was in jail in "MY 6 CONVICTS", "BIG HOUSE U.S.A.", "WHEN HELL BROKE LOOSE", "THE GREAT ESCAPE" (of course), "TWINKY", "VALACHI PAPERS", "FROM NOON TILL THREE", "DEATH WISH III"...

"Twinky"? I don't remember the scene.
Too bad he never make a movie like "Papillon" or "Escape From Alcatraz".He would be perfect STARING as a convict.

In "TWINKY", Bronson hits a New York cop, to help his wife. He does time, and she comes to see him in jail.
