This was a actor that I really liked back, in the late 80's, mid 90's. He came out with a interesting style of Marital Arts, and feel that he brought something fresh to that genre, so what are your thoughts on this actor?

I'm a really big fan of Seagal as some of you may have guessed. He's the real deal and you always know what your gonna get with his movies. One of the best action stars ever in my book.

Enjoyed Seagal's first few films but haven't seen one in a long time. Agree his aikido was cool but seemed no one ever posed a threat to him on screen and after a while it just became Seagal breaking bones and the movies started to blend together. Looked like he packed on a lot of weight and tried hiding it with his wardrobe and he seemed to get a lot of bad press, either warranted or not.
Bronson trivia - The bartender who stands up to Seagal in the famous OUT FOR JUSTICE bar fight is Nick Dimitri, the same man who fought Charlie at the end of HARD TIMES.

There is show on the last few weeks all about Segal been a real life cop. It shows him arresting suspects and stuff. He looks old and stiff now. And when making arrest he only does so when 2 other cops have control of the suspect.

The firs Steven Seagal movie Nico(1988) is an instand classic. I'm a martial artist myself and a lot of teniques used in this movie, are very realistic. But after that, it was going down hill with Seagal and his career. The problem, to mine opinion, is that Seagal doesnt know how to act.

Yeah the guy couldn't act very well, and another reason is because he relied so much on his martial arts, that once started gaining all that weight, he couldn't perform his own fight scenes, and that REALLY hurt the movies productivity.

Bullshit he doesn't know how to act, have u ever seen On Deadly Ground. J/k, even though all these things are true, Seagal is one of those actors like Bronson where the imperfections are part of what makes their movies so great.

That's funny "arthurbishop". I feel that Steven is good in the roles that he plays, sometimes you are only good at a certain something, and you just have to find your niche, and these Acton films are what he is good at.
