I found an interesting story on another forum I visit, this is a post from one of the members: I've just been watching the extras on the Koch Johnny Hamlet disc. This is where it's from. Castellari comes across as such a humourous and warm man and related that story. Castellari went to Cannes to meet up with Bronson and was kept waiting for a week or so. Castellari enjoyed his time there but spent much of his days doing his weights and building up his already formidable muscles. During the meeting a near naked Bronson was waving his pipe about and flexing his arm muscles - paying more attention to his own physique than to the discussion. Castellari took of his jacket and started flexing his own in artificially constructed movements - trying to make it look natural. The interview has Castellari laughing and saying it must have looked ridiculous to an outside spectator. No film was ever made - although the interview does mention a title - and they ended up arm-wrestling. I'm not sure who won 'cos Castellari, (and myself), were laughing so much at this point!

Funny story, never heard of that, thanks bishop.
Did Castellari used to do weight trainning?I didn't know that. Was he really in goood shape?
Too bad they never cooperated, they could have made an outstanding movie together.I wish Bronson have stayed in Europe for a few years more.He could have made really great stuff with directors like Enzo Castellari, Fernando Di Leo, Umberto Lenzi...Fernando Di Leo actually mentions Bronson in the extras of the italian version of "La Mala Ordina" dvd.He says"Henry Sylva had an amazing marble face, so did that actor who made the western with Sergio leone... Charles Bronson, he also had a marble face."
What's the title of their project mentioned in the interview?

Yeah I agree they could have made a great movie together. I'm not sure about the details at all. I'm hoping Chaney or maphillips3 can help out.

I rember in the first months of this site-forum crego had said something about a Castellari's comment on Bronson's physique. This must be at the "Bronson's physique thread",He maybe knew something but it's a long time that he doesn't posts His father Marco Girolami the director of "Roma Violenta" was a european boxing champion but I don't think Enzo was that good. www.enzogcastellari.com/evarious1.htmwww.enzogcastellari.com/evarious5.htmThose days the human bodies looked humanlike. Nowdays every guy takes all those supplements and in most cases even steroids and you see that guys who used to be skinny in a few months create gorillaesque physique.

very impressive bodies on Girolami. Man these steroid, and other supplements are pointless if you know how to train, and eat properly.
