Still no Death Wish remake, which pleases me. I don't want someone else playing Paul Kersey, even if it is one of my favorite action heroes (Stallone). They already remade The Mechanic, let's leave it at that.
Only good thing about a remake would be that it would make more people (younger people, mostly) to check out the original and hopefully discover the awesomeness of Charles Bronson.

Is anyone here going to pick these up? There's no info on whether Death Wish II is uncut or not yet, but some say that it will probably uncut since MGM HD has had it online in uncut format.
Personally, I already have the awesome Vigilante Collection Region 4 box set that has all the movies uncut on DVD with good enough picture quality, so I don't see myself getting these unless there are some great extras on them.

Charles Bronson says “no dice” to punks, bringing his own kind of vigilante justice to the streets as the heroic Paul Kersey in Death Wish II, Death Wish III, and Death Wish IV available on Blu-ray August 14.www.dvdreview.com/news/viewnews.asp?id=12382

One of the best movies Bronson did in the 80's and for Cannon Films. There's lots of great action, humor, one-liners, classic 80's soundtrack and cheese in this one.
The writer of the movie must have had a great time coming up with all the curse words for Kathleen Wilhoite's character, who seems to say new ones every other minute. Hearing her mouth go off like that was some of the funniest scenes in it.

It's a shame he was so concerned about his height. I mean he was a legitimate bad-ass no matter how tall he was. I think it makes him even tougher and more talented to be regarded that tough despite being pretty short.

Yupp, new releases. Don't know of their cut-status though.

Debbie: Exactly which picture are you referring to? Your mom sounds like a very cool lady, having a thing for Charles Bronson!

This is a terrific drama film. It's one of the best movies Bronson ever did and he certainly gave one of his best performances in this movie as well. Would love to see the deleted scenes, I hear there are two fight scenes that were cut, not jut the one with Bob Minor.

There is an alternate ending to this movie in which after JM Vincent get blown up, Bronson appears and walks to the water's edge, grabs his gear, pushes the boat out onto the lake, You hear JM Vincent's recording and the boat blows up, Bronson walks away in the "sunset" Would have been great if that was on the DVD. Is it available anywhere on the net?

Knowing how shy Bronson was, it's hard to imagine he would be comfortable hosting such a popular show, watched by so many people.

I haven't seen this yet, am waiting to get the 2-disc American edition DVD. Sounds like an awesome movie though, I've heard great things about it and I love Rutger Hauer.
